1Purpose of This Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how MADPUNK, operated by Seven Platform Solutions LLC, uses cookies and similar browser technologies on madpunk.com. It should be read together with the MADPUNK Privacy Policy.

Our current implementation is intentionally limited to technologies needed to operate the site securely and provide functionality requested by the user. We do not currently deploy cookies for advertising, marketing, cross-site behavioral tracking, or cookie-based analytics.

2What Cookies Are

Cookies are small pieces of data stored by a browser and sent with requests to the relevant website or service. They can be used to maintain a secure session, remember authentication state, prevent abuse, and support functionality that would otherwise require a user to sign in again on every request.

Similar technical storage mechanisms may be used where strictly necessary for authentication, security, or service operation. In this Policy, references to cookies include those necessary similar technologies where appropriate.

3Cookies Currently Used

MADPUNK uses Clerk for account authentication and session management. Clerk sets cookies when users sign in, sign up, or otherwise interact with authentication services. Those cookies are required for the authentication service to function. The exact set may vary with the production configuration, authentication method, browser, and security infrastructure.

Cookie or technology	Provider	Purpose	Typical duration
`__session`	Clerk	Carries the short-lived signed session token used to authenticate same-origin requests and confirm the active signed-in user.	Short-lived token, typically about 60 seconds, automatically refreshed while the authenticated session remains active.
`__client` or equivalent Clerk client cookie	Clerk	Maintains client authentication state and supports secure session renewal on the Clerk authentication domain.	Long-lived; duration depends on Clerk session and authentication configuration.
`__client_uat` or equivalent Clerk state cookie	Clerk	Supports authentication state, client update timing, and session management.	Depends on Clerk configuration.
Security or rate-limiting cookie, if present (for example `_cfuvid` in certain Clerk-hosted flows)	Clerk / security infrastructure	Protects authentication infrastructure, supports abuse prevention, rate limiting, or security controls.	Provider-defined and limited to the security purpose.

4Hosting and Technical Logs

MADPUNK is hosted on Vercel. Hosting and network infrastructure may process request metadata, IP addresses, and technical or security logs needed to deliver and protect the site. This technical processing does not mean that MADPUNK uses advertising or marketing cookies.

Under the current configuration, MADPUNK does not intentionally deploy Vercel Web Analytics or another cookie-based analytics product. If analytics or another non-essential technology is introduced later, this Policy will be updated before the new technology is used where required.

6Browser Controls

Most browsers allow users to inspect, block, or delete cookies. Blocking essential authentication cookies may prevent account creation, sign-in, secure session maintenance, registered-user downloads, or other functions from working correctly.

Because MADPUNK does not currently use optional advertising or marketing cookies, there is no separate preference center for those categories at this time.

7Changes and Contact

We may update this Cookie Policy if our authentication, hosting, analytics, marketing, or other technology changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.

Questions about cookies or privacy may be sent to master@madpunk.com or by mail to Seven Platform Solutions LLC, 28 Geary St STE 650, Suite 527, San Francisco, CA 94108, United States.
