Education and training
After her transformation, Dr. Eleanor Sterling became her mentor and gave her special training in computer science. She later studied languages and English and French Philology at Columbia University. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese. French is her favorite.
Career
She comes from a modest farming family. Winnie Nobel discovered her by chance when she was about fourteen, during a spring trip to the Platte valley to watch the crane migration. He saw in her the future public face of the Everymen: a young woman of rural origins capable of embodying the Columbian ideal. ALEC recruited her and subjected her to the EVERYMAN Vats; she was the only survivor of her group of girls. Since then, she has worked as a heroine while keeping her civilian identity separate and secret.

Sweet, cheerful, and gifted with people. She enjoys her celebrity, public attention, and the opportunities it brings. She has a mischievous streak and knows how to use her charm to obtain help or negotiate with her superiors. She likes dancing, parties, and learning languages.
