He excelled at football while studying at Columbia and turned professional, achieving fame as an elite athlete. An injury ended his career before he entered politics.
He became vice president under John “Wild Hog” Johnson. On July 7, 1935, he publicly denounced his own government, accusing it of serving foreign interests and preparing to enter the Great War on the side of the Central European powers. His statements provided the public justification for LUME’s coup.
After the presidential cabinet was captured, he assumed the presidency and declared a national emergency. He formed a government of LUME experts and introduced amendments based on the principles of the New Constitution, granting extraordinary powers to large companies.
Opening the market to the warring powers encouraged economic and industrial expansion. Under his presidency, the United States became the Free Fatherlands of Nova Columbia.
Character and interests
He was a serious, tough man with strong patriotic convictions. He believed in freedom and Columbian values and supported LUME’s project as their political expression.
