Including CPM combat suits

Mechanized suits are Mechs adapted to human scale that enhance the operator’s physical capabilities. They are more maneuverable, affordable, and easier to pilot than large units, in exchange for lower power. They are used primarily by security forces and the military; combat suits are one of their applications.

Capabilities and equipment

A suit allows its operator to handle loads and tools beyond the capabilities of an unassisted person. Associated equipment notably includes heavy Core-powered tools, particularly large hammers.

Their lower cost and greater agility offer an alternative to large mechanized units for military and security deployments.

Power supply and maintenance

Power requirements depend on the model and usually range from two to four Cores. Reactors become depleted through use and must be replaced to keep the equipment functioning.

Changing reactors usually requires another person’s help. Attempting it without assistance can leave the operator trapped inside the suit. Access to replacements and technical support determines whether it can remain in use.

Operators and risks

Their use is subject to Atomic Academy oversight and Vol’framin preparation. Tungsten Protocol injections, protective measures, and technical training reduce the dangers of radiation exposure.

Radiation and the risk of overload persist during operation. Protecting the operator does not eliminate the cumulative effects of working with Cores or the consequences of a reactor failure.
