Tungsten Protocol

Human transformation and abilities

Wiki

The Tungsten Protocol combines treatment through injections of tungsten compounds, protective equipment, and technical training to reduce the effects of exposure to Cores. It enables work with atomic machinery but does not provide immunity to radiation.

Selection and preparation

Candidates are selected for exceptional resistance to radiation. This predisposition allows them to undergo an intensive, prolonged course of injections under medical supervision. Not everyone can tolerate or complete the process.

Physical preparation is accompanied by Yadro training: nuclear science, machinery operation, heavy mechanics, and safety procedures. Those who complete the treatment and training and obtain Atomic Academy certification are known as Vol’framin, Men of Tungsten.

Maintenance

Vol’framin require regular booster injections to maintain the treatment’s protection. Their frequency depends on exposure and the intensity of work with Cores.

A single injection does not replace the initial preparation. The ability to operate atomic machinery depends on an individual’s resistance, continued treatment, and technical knowledge.

Capabilities and limits

Vol’framin operate Mechs, mechanized suits, weapons, and atomic tools in civilian work and military missions. Their capabilities come from the machinery they use and their preparation to withstand its operating conditions.

The protocol reduces exposure damage but does not eliminate its consequences. Radiation and the intensity of treatment damage health and shorten life expectancy. Core failures and overloads remain dangerous even for a trained operator.

Clandestine circulation

Tungsten injections and protective equipment circulate on the black market. Vol’framin deserters and those working outside official supply networks depend on these channels to maintain their treatment and continue operating.
