Mechs

Mechanized technology and artificial intelligence
Mechs are large mechanized units piloted by humans. Powered by Cores, they move loads and operate machinery on a scale beyond conventional equipment. Their development transformed both industrial construction and the IURR’s military capability.
Civilian and military applications
The power of these units made it possible to build factories the size of cities and monumental structures of steel and concrete. Their use is part of the Red Bloc’s industrial expansion and projects such as the Steel Wall, which separates the Dead Zone from the IURR.
Military units use the same technology to deploy heavy machinery in combat. They form part of the mechanized arsenal with which the IURR competes against the FNC’s Everymen.
Power and operation
Requirements depend on size and model; most use between five and ten Cores. Replacing depleted reactors takes time and mechanical assistance. A Mech can operate with less than its optimal supply, but becomes less reliable and more vulnerable to failures and overloads.
Authorized pilots are Vol’framin trained and certified by the Atomic Academy. The Tungsten Protocol reduces the effects of radiation exposure, although it does not eliminate the harm associated with prolonged work with Cores.
Industrial development
Kuznitsa develops Mechs and transfers technology to the factories that produce them. The Atomic Academy controls Core technology and licenses its operators.
Integrating into new Mechs made it possible to develop Autonomous Mechanized Units. Their control and operating systems are .
